Chapter 11 ❣︎︎ Love Lives!
When I woke I was in a hospital bed. Everything in my whole body ached. I felt like something was broke.
Maybe a cracked rib cage.
A sprained foot. Who knew what else Baldwin had done to me. I moan as pain shoot in my body. I wondered how I got here. Had Baldwin brought me in and dumped me off?

"Milton she is up!" Mona calls out to my brother in law.
Mona, Milton, and Wanda were at my side.
"How do you feel? Wanda get the doctor" orders Mona.
"I feel like I was hit by a bus" I groan.
"Because Baldwin hit you with his car" says Milton.
"My head is throbbing" I mutter.
"We found you on our way home. When had you arrived to the Jamboree?" asks Mona. "I thought you were not going to come"
"I was not. I went to watch for a bit then I left. Then Baldwin was trying to run me down with his car. He was trying to black mail me all week" I finally admit.
"Why? What for?" wonders Milton.
I was about to tell them when Pepper, Allison and Cry Baby come rushing in.
"I don't know why" I lie. "can I get less people in the room? I want to rest" I softly ask.
"You can talk to her later! Out! Get out" orders Mona as she shoos them all out of there.
"Thanks" I tell her once they were gone.
"Cry Baby really wants to see you" Mona says. "I thought I would ask you first"
"I don't want to see him" I softly answer.
She nods. Tears come to my eyes. Truthfully I did want to see him. But he came with Allison. I did not want to see her.
I hoped I could go home soon here. And be away from them all. The doctor comes into the room to see me.

"You have a sprained foot. Cracked rib cages. You suffered a bruise on your forehead. We would like to keep you over night then you can leave in the morning" the doctor tells me.
I nod. "Fine..." I sigh. "can I have something for the pain?"
"Sure can the nurses will admit you and give you something now" he says before wandering off.
"Want me to stay over night? In case Baldwin tries to come back?" worries Mona.
"No, I will be fine here" I tell her.
"Let me see her! She will see me" I hear someone exclaim.
Then Cry Baby bursts into the room.
"Sorry we can get him out of here. But he wants to talk to you" the nurse tells me.
"Let him in" I sigh.
"We will be right outside if you need us" says Mona. She and Milton leave me to talk to Cry Baby.
"I will be fine Wade. I have a cracked rib and a sprained foot is all" I mutter. "you can go back to Allison"
"Screw, Allison! Who the hell did this to you? I hear someone tried to run you over" he exclaims. "I will kill them myself"
"They failed and I am fine. Let's forget about it okay?" I stammer.
"No one treats a drape like this! No one" he angrily retorts.
"I am not a drape. I had Wanda give the jacket back" I remind him gentle.
Anger flashes in his eyes.

"You will always be a drape" he declares. "I only hung around Allison because you dumped me! I am in love with you! You left me. You dumped me. Then you gave back the jacket while I waited to hear from you. I have told you many times I do not want Allison"
"Why were you kissing her in the park then?" I softly say.
He looks bewildered. "You saw us?" he asks.
I nod. "I had"
"We were talking in the park. I told her we were friends only and about how you made me leave you. That I was waiting on you. She says maybe it was a good idea that we had time apart. Because she wanted me back. Then she kissed me. I did not kiss her back. I told her no, and we walked back" he rambles on. "if I had my way we would still be together. We would be dating. You would still be in love with me"
I was shocked. This whole time I was pushing him away he was trying to push his way back to me. I was so blind to what was right in front of me. He loved me. Not Allison. He out grew her. He loved me. That was why he was here to see me. I was the one hurting him.

"Cry Baby" I softly speak his name. He finally looks at me. "I do still love you. With all my heart"
"I love you to. I don't want to be with Allison. I want you. I want to be with you" he begs.
"I want that to. Can I have my jacket back?" I softly asks. "I want to be your queen again"
He looked so happy. He swoops in and kisses me. His hand on my cheek.
"Of course you can have it back sugar" he vows.
"I am sorry for pushing you away. I was scared. Because in the past you only had eyes for her" I remind him. "and I wanted you that whole time for so long and you never noticed me before until now"
"Now I know how you felt. I was desperate to get you back again" he laughs softly. "I got a taste of my own medicine. I am sorry for doing that to you back then"
"I waited forever for you" I admit. "I don't think I could ever love anyone else. Ever"
"Good. You never will have to" he says.
"Mona come here a moment" Cry Baby demands. My sister enters the room. "please tell Allison we will not be getting back together as I told her before. Tell her to leave. I am with Veronica now as I told her I would be"
"Sure thing Cry Baby" says a happy Mona who leaves the room.
"I want to next find out who did this. Who tried to kill you" he tells me.
I wince.

"You know who right?" he asks me.
I nod. "I do"
"Tell me. And us drapes will handle them" Cry Baby says.
"No, I won't because he is dangerous" I warn him.
"Sugar you need to tell me who did this" says Cry Baby.
"No the cops will get him. And you stay out of it. I won't you get harmed next" I warn.
"This is not over with. We will talk more later. You get rest Ronnie" he tells me. He brushes my hair out of my face with his hand. He kisses my forehead. Then my lips. Then we are looking into one another's eyes. "I love you so much Ronnie"
"I love you to Cry Baby" I promise. "I love you to"
He was meant for me. Not Allison. Now I needed to handle Baldwin before he could hurt anyone else ever again.
