Unbroken Dreams

Chapter 2

Maize being terrified and shocked stares to the man she used to call "Black Beard Monster" Maize stares straight to him and so as he, he raise his arm his about to touch her head but as he sees Maize being scared he refused to do it. He look into Maize eyes it was beautiful brown eyes her angelic face makes it more beautiful, sun kissed skin, long black hair.

He says;"As years passed by you will become a beautiful young lady.And added;" My little sunshine I saw you." And smile.

Maize was shock she couldn't even speak for she was caught. She felt cold as she don't know how to react in that situation. Then;

Their conversation interrupted by a voice coming near the barn, it was Maize's Mother calling her. As she sees them she think that it might be something wrong happen, She approaches Mr. Jimmy. And ask him if there's something wrong but he replied "No everything is okay."

"My apologize if my Maize did nuisance you,You know Maize sometimes she is so mischievous but Im telling you she's so sweet and considerate."

Then turn her sight to her beloved daughter with a gentle smile in her eyes.

" Very kind of you , but you don't need to apologize everything it is okay I just walked by and saw her. She reminds me

of my daughter. Well.. I lost her when she was ten." With a sad smile and sigh.

"oh,I'm so sorry if I.. I remind you... of.. so- sorry for your lost..." Maize's Mother sympathy.

"No it's okay." well.. uhmmn.. well I have nothing to do here so.. I'd better go.. excuse me.." as he turn to his way Maize's Mother call him.

"Mr.Jimmy, would you like to have lunch with us?".. I made some beef stew and Tinola.?" If your not busy?..

Mr. Jimmy look at her and smile.

"I haven't refuse to any invitation, if you insist." Mr.Jimmy replied.

Maize still don't know what to think, about he says earlier that day, that He saw her. In some point she is being stalked by him. She still felt weird about him, she knew his hiding something.

Maize's family enjoy their lunch together with Mr. Jimmy as he starts silly conversation that seems they enjoy chatting with him. That is why they didn't even notice Maize left them except for her Mother who saw her leave the dining.

Maize walk outside as she reminiscing what she saw that morning, It was Mr. Jimmy or the one she calls "The Black Beard Monster" staring to the wall that seems there someone his talking to.

She have doubt in her self if what she saw is real that's why she investigate. She was staring the fence where she was caught by the Black Beard Monster. As her hearts beats fast because of her nervousness her courage speaks lauder in her head And Cross that fence.

She slowly walk through, look into the walls and also the pipes. But there was nothing she tried talking to the walls thinking if there is someone traps behind the walls but she gets no response.

She's about to give up for hours of looking for something suspicious.. then she figure it out that the pipes were shut off because there's no water leakage. She look for the handle connected to the pipes as she saw it below she turn it on.. then unexpected happen. She's about to open the handle then someone grab her hand And says;

"I knew that you will come here, it's almost dark sweet heart why are you here? This not the right time for you to come her." Mr. Jimmy says.

Maize stared to Mr.Jimmy's eyes it was full of sorrow and loneliness.. Shes a bit scared but question starts to build In her head because she doesn't understand why he act like this, he was so concern to her, his so mysterious to her.

Mr. Jimmy tries to fight his feelings but he couldn't stop his emotion his longing for her.Tears rolled down his face he was just looking at her from a far, he waited for so long to see her near, to touch her but it is not the right time. He needs to wait. His hand grab hers become tighter and tighter.

Maize was scared and crying.

" Let me go! let me go! your hurting me.. I'm scared.. please let me go...

"I'm sorry.. I didn't want to hurt you or scared you, I just want you to listen to me. Maize please give me time.. I will tell you something. Just wait for the right time. And please calmed down."

Mr. Jimmy explain to her, as Maize's realized, and starts to calm down her eyes were bulging because of crying. He wipes her tears and sang a song while he holds her face and their forehead close together. He hammed, it sounds like Maize knew what the song was as it flashes back memories that she never knew where it came from and asking to her self, "what was that?"

"I'm saying this to you please don't ever come here or I cannot help you."Mr. Jimmy says and released her, She stood up, she run as fast as she could and never look back.

As Mr. Jimmy looking at her running away he was sad and also happy to see her even that scene is not that appropriate.
