MEADOW'S POV. I blinked. That was it. No explanation. No warning. He turned around immediately and walked back out of the room like he already expected me to follow him. I stared after him in confusion. “What was that?” I muttered. Penny stirred quietly inside my head. “You should probably go.” I frowned slightly. “Why?” “At least find out what he wants,” she said. I hesitated for another moment before finally climbing carefully off the bed. The dull ache in my stomach returned immediately, though not as badly as before.
