MEADOW'S POV.
I blinked.
That was it.
No explanation.
No warning.
He turned around immediately and walked back out of the room like he already expected me to follow him.
I stared after him in confusion.
“What was that?” I muttered.
Penny stirred quietly inside my head.
“You should probably go.”
I frowned slightly.
“Why?”
“At least find out what he wants,” she said.
I hesitated for another moment before finally climbing carefully off the bed.
The dull ache in my stomach returned immediately, though not as badly as before.
Still, it was enough to make me move slowly.
By the time I stepped outside the room, Alpha Killian was already gone.
I frowned.
“What exactly am I supposed to follow?”
