Ordinary POV       The sound of a pen clicking slowly brings me back to the surface. Forcing my eyes open, I look around to see, I'm in some kind of strange room now. Bars cover the windows and doors. Slowly, my eyes search for the source of the sound. There's a gray-haired man standing at the foot of my bed, writing something on a clipboard. He stops every few seconds to click his pen a few more times then continues writing. "Well, that didn't last long" he mutters almost to himself. He then pulls out a radio and tells someone I'm awake before walking up closer to the head of my bed. My muscles ache as I instinctively tense away from him. "Hello, I'm Dr. Zaho. You're safe here. The bars are to keep unmated men out, not you in. You've been out for about three hours and pain you felt before was from your heat. I believe it may be over since you’re calm now but if you would like a sedative, I need to give it to you quickly before your friend comes back" he says with nervous speed. "My... My friend? You must be mistaken, I'm alone here. I was traded to Alpha Michaels. The Alpha was bringing me back when all of this happened." I say confused. "Do you not remember the man who carried you in? He nearly took a nurse's head off when she touched you. Those details can be ironed out after he’s done talking to Alpha Michaels." he says with a wave. "Right now, I need to know right now; do you want the sedative or not?" he asks this time, putting his hand on my arm.  "Don't!" I scream, a few seconds too late. The small, innocent gesture causes a searing pain to run through my arm. The sensation knocks the wind out of me as the flames come back with a vengeance. The doctor's pen is up taking notes once again as he looks me over apologeticly. A loud growl comes from just beyond the barred door. A tall, angry-looking man forcefully pulls the door open, bending one of the metal bars as if it were cardboard. I cry as he heads straight for me, still growling. "I’m sorry! I didn't mean to shout at your doctor. I’m so sorry… Please don't hurt me... I'm sorry" I sob, now shaking from the mixture of pain and fear. It feels nearly impossible to keep any level of control as the fires take over my entire being. I try to no avail to back away from the intruder. "I thought her heat must have subsided since she didn't wake up screaming", Dr. Zaho states, looking annoyed. The stranger then growls more forcefully in Zaho's direction. "I'm going, I'm going, quit your huffing." Zaho says, waving off the stranger. "Oh! And for f**k's sake, introduce yourself and stop scaring her." He walks out, leaving me with the angry stranger. I barely catch a glimpse of Alpha Michaels outside of my room before the stranger is inches from my face. His growling subsides and he's looking over me frantically as if he's trying to figure out his next move. Before I can understand what’s happening, his hand softly moves over my arm, immediately stopping my skin from burning further. With my senses coming back online, I notice him. He is the delicious smelling man who had finished pulling me from the car. He presses his forehead to mine, "My, sweet little wolf. I’m so sorry I have frightened you mate" he says in a soft, even tone. The Moon Goddess blessed me with a second chance mate? Surely, someone as ordinary as myself, isn’t on the Moon’s radar as someone to pay additional attention to. Right? Without thinking, my body replies by leaning forward and slowly kissing him with the little strength I have left. He allows me to pull him into my bed, still kissing me. The way his touch pushes the pain out quickly becomes addicting and I need more. I shamelessly push my body up against his, grinding against him. I don't notice he is pinning my arm to my side until I'm brought out of my trance by the iron hot feeling of someone's hand on my arm. Dr. Zaho is there, putting some kind of needle in my arm. Shocked, I stare up at the beautiful stranger. The mixture of hurt and confusion is clouding my brain too much to be able to respond. I lay there, looking back and forth between the stranger and Dr. Zaho for a moment, until the stranger begins to speak. "Forgive me, Sweet Wolf" he whispers, placing kisses near my ear. "I need you to want me because you want me, not because I'm ending your pain." "I want you. Please, I want you" I beg as I reach for his waist. "Sweet Wolf, you don't even know my name. Your wolf wants me, but your human doesn't know me." He chokes through gritted teeth. I'm not sure if the look on his face is one of pain or disgust. Before I can process, darkness surrounds me once again.
