"Is everything packed, cutie?" I nod as I beam up at him. We're actually going to college! Even though CSULB doesn't even take more than 15 minutes to get to from where I live. Julie goes to LBCC now, but we promised to hang out as much as possible. I don't know if that will even happen, but it's worth a try.
"I would say I'm going to miss you guys, but we live like 10 minutes away and you can visit any time. I won't even get enough time to miss you," my dad says, making us laugh. My mom walks out of the house looking like she's going to cry.
"So I guess we'll see you guys later," I say. My dad hugs me tightly and gives me a kiss on my forehead. He goes to hug Brian while my mom hugs me.
"Take good care of her, Brian," she says as she hugs him.
