The Forest We Share

She said she wanted to finish everything as soon as she could, which means she was to finish them on the extraction site.

She wanted to grab the first basket of Cëpoigon and I let her. After she got back to her work table that when things got weird. I continued to remove a bunch of metal from the already loose soil.

I stepped into the water to pull out a really large chunk of Cëpoigon and a vine wrapped around my leg. I threw all the metal to shore andHannah quickly finished all her weapons and Cameron’s weapons.

Just in time for me to be pulled under by whatever had ahold of me. She put the disks away in her fanny pack and armed herself with the heart piercer but left our rocket boots, the glasses and hologram system.

The rocket boots had trackers, bugs and cameras on them. Hannah and I also made glasses that can expand into swimming goggles which produce a map and exact route if we decide to follow on of the other pairs of boots.

Luckily she always wears hers. Because when she jumped in to pull me out from the grasp of the beast, it wrapped around her after she attacked it and pulled her down instead.

I quickly texted Cam and Eli in the group chat telling them everything that had happened. I asked Cam to get my bombs while Eli got the poisons and antidotes.

I left them both their boots and glasses and told them to track me. I put on my boots and glasses brought my sash of small bombs and tracked down Hannah.

It was a complex array of turns and tunnels, sometimes I was under water but other times I wasn’t. It was the strangest cave I’d ever been in, to this day.

Eli was chasing Cameron through the forest trying to find a new place to explore. The uneven terrain was no match for their experience in the woods.

They had read the texts I had sent almost immediately and they stopped what they were doing to come to us.

You might be wondering why I am telling the story when I wasn’t there for this part. It’s because I know better than they do honestly. I was watching the video on their boots while I was traveling the cave. The timeline tells everything that had happened with their side of things.

They ran to the bunkers as fast as they could and gathered everything from within. Cam had about 20 lbs of firearms and bombs with her from my stash and Eli has 10 lbs of Poisons and cures.

From there they ran as fast as they could to the cave site. Eli hesitated because of the stories he heard from Granny K but Cam programs Eli’s boots and his own. They put the glasses on and changed them over to goggles.

Cam ended up pushing Eli because he couldn’t move. Cam was too worried about us to worry about them. So Eli had fallen into the cave and his boots put him on the route to finding me. Cam was brave and jumped in head first, and the route activated immediately.

They soon caught up with me because they had put their boots on level 3 where as mine were level 1 once they caught up I put my boots up to level 3 as well.
