He remained there standing. And for a minute his eyes never left my side.
" Is everything okay?" I heard Loyd ask before pausing when he also noticed Austin's presence.
And just then his gaze retracted from me as I watched him approach his pack members who still waited for him. " What happened here?" I could hear him questioning them.
Should I say a part of me hoped—maybe had the thought that perhaps he would intervene, seeing me with Loyd. I guess I really should accept the fact. He despises me more than anything, doesn't he?
