Cassie's response exploded :
"What?! Alpha Gideon?! He came for you? The boss going this hard for an employee?"
I replied: "Because I'm a star worker."
Cassie: "One more big win, and he'll have to pledge himself to you."
I rolled my eyes.
Cassie: "With perks like this? Screw lawyering. Ask if he's hiring."
I sighed.
Cassie: "If he's not into you, I'll eat dirt upside down."
I went quiet, then typed: "Don't eat that gross stuff. Believe it or not, he's just a good wolf who likes saving people. Also, he's not into she-wolves anymore."
Cassie sent a string of question marks.
I ignored them, kicking myself for that last message.
