The morning sunlight filtered softly through the heavy velvet drapes, painting warm streaks of gold across the king-sized bed. I blinked open my eyes, my face resting against the steady, rhythmic rise and fall of Drakon’s chest. His broad arm was wrapped securely around my waist, his hand resting flush against the small of my back, anchoring me to him even in sleep. We didn't have s*x last night.
