I stood before the mirror dressing myself up with a heart heavy with longing. It had been ages since I'd seen Ava, the mortal who had captured my heart. I'd been foolish to think she'd accept me as her mate even after i was a bully to her in school, but I couldn't help myself.
After making sure that I looked my best, I hurried out of the house and headed to visit Ava.
