Prince Khalil was totally shocked about what Crystal has said, he could barely believe his eyes about what she had said. Like seriously, this is insane news to her, it is so unbelievable, And she can hardly even notice what she had said.
Well, it is true what Crystl had said, but to prince Khalil, it felt like a million bullets shooting his head, he could barely believe it, so difficult to ask, and unreal to believe it.
Khalil had the urge to wake up from his desk and approach Crystal, he used he could challenge her but lacked the stamina to do so. Well, it was just for now because he actually did.
Rising from the table, Khalil clenched her hands because he didn't want to lose his temper over this girl.
Crystal was the most of the prince's authority now, it is annoying that he is allowing this lady to have an uppercase on him, it is annoying, and there is nothing that he can do about it.
The lady sitting on the other side of the desk was startled, Crystal was aware of the fact that he is having a hard time with the man approaching her. She could barely breathe, in fact, all that is in her mind right now is the fact that Khalil is gaining gains on her.
It is difficult to know these things, she was startled, and as Khalil approached jer, she had the urge to jump from the chair and run, she had that urge to do so, but jer common sense piqued her, she knew better than just allowing her like that.
Before she had the initiative to run, it was too late, Khalil grabbed her hand securely before she could do anything.
"Let go of me," Crystal blurted out in fear.
There is no doubt that she is afraid of the prince, but the fact that he is right here, the highest she can do is to flinch, nothing more, nothing less.
"Please, let me go," she blurted out again.
There is no doubt that she is scared of this young man, the fear is scripted in her eyes, and as she brushes her eyes away from him, it only made Khalil laugh.
"I didn't know you were this chicken-hearted, Crystal, if you could react the same way you talk to me, then I would have known how brave you are, but no! all I see is a wussy, a small chicken-hearted girl who fears a lot. Yes! that is the kind of way you want you to be afraid of me I need to scare you, we aren't mates, we don't even know one another. All I owe you is food__ and water, and you know what you owe me?" he inquired raising a brow at her.
Crystal didn't seem to comprehend what is going on, it felt more like she is trying I shot Khalil away from his life. Well, she should have known better before falling into his trick. This time, he was sure that he wants her to get his attention right, and as he grabbed her chin forcefully, he dragged it towards her side.
"Look at me, now!" he commanded fiercely.
This was a command and not a plea because he added more pressure to her face, Dragging his face. The reaction he wanted was acquired when Crystal squirmed before turning to glance at her with failing eyes. This is the kind of reaction he excepted the lady to give him and when that was accomplished, he went forth to breathe his word.
"I tell you now, miss Crystal, I do not know you, neither do you know me, but one thing is sure, I wouldn't tolerate any form of disrespect from you, not in any way, and if you refuse to put this into your thick skull and stop disturbing me, I am surely going to disgrace you, and that is a sure fact. If you do not want this to happen, better not dare me, and I mean it. Mark my words, I mean it," Khalil said.
He wasn't lying when he said all these things, he is truly seeking and tired of dealing with a crazy person like Crystal, unless she learns how to control her sharp tongue, she is not going to have it easy with him, not at all.
Removing his hand from her chin, Khalil stood in front of her in all his glaze. She stared at him from the corner of his eyes, his presence spoke a lot of dominions, more about the way that she just wanted to mind her business.
Now, it is his time for him to do whatsoever it is, Crystal didn't understand it at first, and as her eyes widened, things became clear to her, she understood Khalil's motives at once.
It is no doubt that Khalil had willingly chased the mate away, just that he had used a silly thing she had done to confront her, and she had fallen without even taking note of it. Kind of weird.
"Prince Khalil?" Crystal called out.
The way her voice sound tickled in Khalil's ears. He wanted to laugh, but then remembered that he had to maintain his manly posture, it is called for.
Making sure his voice was thick, he proceeded in talking to her.
"Any problem?" he inquired.
Crystal's cheeks became bright immediately, she felt embarrassed. She had the urge to change the topic, but then, the manner in which he asked the question made her think for a moment. It is not always as he had planned it, things don't even work the way we wish it to be, but then, that's it, she has to pretend like she didn't call his name.
"No! sorry, I called you, just forget about it," she muttered.
Well, this made Khalil a little bit upset, as he didn't want anything to do with this, Crystal had called him and he was anxious about the fact that she has actually used his name In calling him, and not only that but she had added his title to it. That is weird coming out from her, and he was now curious to know why she had called him.
"What was that you said? I thought you called my name? why then aren't you saying anything? I know you haven't forgotten what you had to say, Crystal, you just don't want to tell me. That's fine, but don't call my name for mold games like that ok?" he asked intimidating her.
Khalil had an edge of anger bedded in his voice, he was completely struck by the fact that Crystal had called his name, but what baffles him the most is the fact that she didn't say anything to him. That is kind of awkward, like big time.
After hearing what he had to say Crystal was bemused by her reaction, it is not the best at all, and as she thought about it, she just brushed it away from his mind, totally and completely. But the is one thing that pains her the most__ the fact that she is going to die with her thoughts in her mind.
Crystal wanted so much to blast Khalil, but then, she pushed it aside, It Is practically none of her business, there is nothing to worry about, and as she throws her head towards the right, she said in a subtle voice,
"You should never have asked the maid to leave just because you want to have some cool time with me, that is so childish," Crystal said.
Immediately as the words escaped her mouth, she regretted it so much. Crystal felt like crying, it is not a good one, but then, she just have to keep it away from her as much as she can.
Unfortunately for her, Khalil had heard what she said, there is no point in saying the contrary. He knew what the lady is saying is the truth and nothing but the truth, so he tried his best in pressing his lips for him not to burst out laughing, but the moment Crystal saw his reaction from the corner of her eyes, this made him escalate in ripples of laughter. This is more than he can fit it in, and the more she calms herself down, the best it will be for her.
"What is the problem with you?" Crystal inquired raising a brow.
Khalil had not yet caught his breathe, so he still laughed constantly, but at the end when he noticed that the lady in front of him was rather frowning instead of smiling with him, he tried his best to force the smile out of her face, but it is not working.
"Nothing, I tell you this, but if you don't want me to laugh, just tell me, I will brighten my face at once," Prince Khalil said.
Crystal giggled too like a naughty little girl, and this caused prince Khalil to join in, laughing his ribs away.
As they both stopped to catch their breaths, and as they did, there was a bright layer on their cheeks, indicating that they were blushing profusely.
"You are extremely beautiful when you smile, did anyone ever tell you that?" he inquired.
This question caused Crystal to turn cherry red, she didn't expect this to happen, it was kind of awkward, especially with her display of emotions. It is kind of weird.
Instead of answering him correctly, she twisted his question and asked it.
"You are teasing me, right? me, beautiful? that is not true. I mean, how come no one has ever told me about that?" she inquired creasing her forehead.
She found a tough time believing what had left her mouth, but then, she had said it. There is nothing can she can do right now.
Sighing, prince Khalil stared at the lady sitting beside him weirdly. He could barely guess that Crystal had said such a thing. Like seriously, how on earth will everyone miss this exquisite beauty? she is like a small goddess sent to lure him to sin, yes she looked like someone of that nature.
"Crystal? if no one has told you anything of that nature, let me be the first person to do that. You look so beautiful Crystal. And believe me, I am not saying this just because I want to placate you or something, I am so damn serious about it," prince Khalil said.
This caused Crystal's mouth to drop open, she knew that something isn't right somewhere. In fact, since this evening, the only thing they have been doing is to quarrel, then rearrange themselves all in the name of solving their problems.
Well, it is obvious that their problems are quite bigger than what they are simply seeing now, it is weird to even say it, and knowing that Khalil is not her status, or the kind of man she would opt for because of how wide their social status is, all she does is to brush the thoughts aside because it barely makes any sense.
Just thinking that this might be a kind of lie and a prank on her, Crystal knew better to remove those ideas from her mind, and refuting those ideas, she tried making it known to him about what she thinks.
"I know you are just messing around with me, Prince Khalil, you are a beast, a wolf clothing, and I might not know your aims whether they are good or not, but I tell you this, don't lie to me, everyone can't be telling me that I am ugly, then you pop off from somewhere in my life, making me believe that I am beautiful. That isn't true, but then you said it. Please, do not lie to me, it is worst than saying the truth when everyone doesn't want to hear it..." Crystal said her voice trailing.
She did not finish saying what she had to do because prince Khalil's mouth had silenced her.
Widening her eyes she could not believe her eyes.
