Jordan.
The screams could be heard louder and louder and people shouted our names euphorically. Somehow, this made us feel alive. I took the microphone in my trembling hands, smiled at the crowd, and started talking.
"I honestly don't know how there are people who love us." We are just five lost boys. Thank you for supporting us all this time — a lump formed in my throat preventing me from keep going; Ben looked at me worriedly as he held his guitar tightly. Thanks for the support, thanks for the banners, thanks for coming to our concerts ... Thanks for everything, we are Stay In Touch and we love you.
I headed backstage, but before I left I took one last look at the crowd. I left the stage and the boys came out behind me. Ben put his guitar away and headed to me.
"Hey, it was an excellent show," he said with his hand on my shoulder. Suddenly the other boys came up to me and hugged me.
"We will miss you, Jordan. The band won't be the same without you, ”Devin said.
I didn't want to go, but I had to. It was necessary.
"We only hope the new vocalist is good and the fans accept him".
I didn't know Andrew well, since Stephen, the band's manager, hasn't told us much about him. All we know is that he will replace me.
"So... Stay In Touch ends here for me, it was a pleasure working with you these four years, you are good friends. Keep it up and keep the band growing, we'll keep in touch, you know, we are Stay In Touch", I hugged them one by one.
"I don't understand why you have to go." When the fans find out you're gone, they'll be really sad , ”Richard said as I hugged him. I gave him a rueful look and kept hugging the boys.
"Goodbye".
I left the auditorium with tears in my eyes, got into my car and just left there, never to return.
