I held my thumb and forefinger to the bridge of my nose applying pressure to ward of the headache I felt coming on. my father stood from his seat opposite me the look on his face his voice boomed around the room as he shout’s fools ingrates incompetent Dera-lai's, father calm yourself I say as I look around the room , I agree these old fools are not up to the task given to them I chuckle, but really you would go so far as to compare them to Dera-lai I shudder at the image that manifests in my mind. Please let’s not mention Dera-lai in these civilised walls shall we not.
My father king Oberiol inclines his head in my direction letting out a deep breath as he slumps defeated back into his chair. My son what should we do all these years we have taken the males do we now take females too . Where would we keep them do we train them do we send them back have you ever come across a female with the inclination ? He askes me
I think about that question before I raise my head and meet the eyes of everyone around the table, no I state I have never met nor seen a female with the inclination which is what has led us to believe in our actions of taking the males who present. This is indeed troublesome. I think about it some more before I share my thought, the humas label females the same as the males Autistic or A.S.D but they have no aura that we can see or feel. There is no inclination within of this I am sure.
So, my father states this leaves us with two thoughts... is it that we have not yet met the child from the prophesy and we need to order our seekers to search only for a female with the inclination or do we continue to take males and train them as soldiers in the hopes that one of them will emerge ..
I stand again as I address the room, for now this information stays within these walls I look to elder Cleary, you I point at him as I look to the rest of the elders still speaking directly to the new elder and say you are to be lead elder you may be the youngest member but so far you have shown your skills are not so lacking and we may just end the darkness with your lead, I trust in my judgment and I believe you are what we need if we wish to overcome our past and reunite our world.
With this said everyone around the room lowers their head in agreement and I leave the room.
As I stomp my way around the castle, I hear a second set of feet fall into step behind me and I know instantly from the aura that it is my lead knight Kaiezua, he has returned from his trip into the desert land earlier than I had anticipated, did you catch all that I ask him knowing that Kaiezua would have been within the shadows listening as usual this is of course a secret that only he and I share. I would die for this man as he would I a fact that he had demonstrated on numerous occasions during our many years together as Amazi , sworn brothers in the old language.
Report I say looking at Kaiezua from the corner of my I eye I catch a slight hitch in his breathing before he calm’s himself and begins the report.
