Chapter 2 She Has Disappeared

596 Words
Britney waved her hand, threw the divorce agreement in Clarence's face, grabbed the suitcase, and left. Before Clarence could react to what had just happened, Britney had already gone away. "Bang." Clarence cursed in a low voice with a gloomy face, raised his fist, and smashed it against the wall. He thought, that damned Britney! She actually threw the divorce agreement in my face. Not far from Randall's home, there was a Rolls-Royce. When Britney saw the familiar license plate number, she raised her eyebrows, smiled, quickly walked to the car, and got in. "Congratulations on your return, Britney." The man's deep voice came from the driver's seat. Britney giggled and pounced on the man. "Maloney, I missed you so much." Maloney Harrell rubbed her hair. His eyes were filled with love. He lowered his head and said, "Do you need me to help you teach that ungrateful jerk a lesson?" "No need." Britney stood up. Her voice was a little muffled. She sniffed and restrained the tears that were about to flow out. Then, she spoke again. "From now on, I am Britney from the Harrell family. I have nothing to do with Clarence." "Yes, you are the little princess of the Harrell family and our beloved sister. Why do you have to be hurt by that jerk?" "Dad and Joseph are waiting for you at home." As he spoke, Maloney reached out to wipe away the tears at the corner of Britney's eyes. After that, the car slowly started. Britney looked back at the Randall's home, a trace of determination flashing through her eyes. She thought, goodbye, Clarence, the man I've loved for three years. At the Randall's home. Clarence's face was sullen. The scene of Britney leaving constantly appeared in his mind. Clarence rubbed his throbbing brow. He felt that he must be crazy to think of that vicious woman. However, what Britney had said before she left made him waver. Could it be that there was really another secret behind Melissa's departure? Clarence was a little annoyed, but at this time, the phone rang. "What is it?" "Mr. Randall, Ms. Trussel woke up and fainted again..." "Bang." Clarence's head buzzed. He picked up the suit on the coat rack and rushed out of the door. A few minutes later, he came to the VIP ward of the hospital. Looking at the pale and unconscious woman on the bed, Clarence felt a slight pain in his heart. He bent over to tuck her in, looked up at the assistant who was waiting at the side, and said coldly, "What happened?" "Mr. Randall, after Ms. Trussel woke up, she insisted on looking for you. I stopped her, but Ms. Trussel fainted because of intense emotions. While you were on the way here, the doctor checked on Ms. Trussel. "It's nothing serious. She has slight anemia due to malnutrition. That was why she fainted when she was emotional." Terrell Campos, the assistant, lowered his head and finished his words. He clearly felt that his boss's vibe was colder than before. "Next time, you must report everything about Melissa to me as soon as possible." Terrell nodded with a hesitant look on his face. "Is there anything else?" Clarence noticed it and frowned. "There's something about Ms. Harrell... "All the information and photos related to Ms. Harrell on the Internet have disappeared. It's as if ... this person has never appeared." Clarence's eyes turned cold. After a long time, he said, "Send someone to investigate her." He had a hunch that Britney must have another identity.
