An actual life to get back to?
Like her family, the members of this club who has always looked after her meant nothing.
Like I meant nothing.
Her words were the only ones I heard as I watched her beneath my eye lashes. She moved around the house like nothing had happened .
Like she hadn’t just humiliated me in front of everyone.
Or torn my heart out.
Without even letting me explain.
If I could explain I knew she would understand what a giant misunderstanding it was.
It was all one huge pile of bull crap.
She laughed and joked and things soon turned festive.
Any bloody excuse for a party here.
But I couldn’t seem to get into the spirit of things. How could I When this was a going away party for the woman I had wanted forever.
And I wasn’t ready to let her go
