“I am,” Delilah’s voice was so small I barely heard it. “I am to blame for Dodges death, I am to blame for it all.”
I blinked at her in confusion. I knew she held a lot of guilt there but she couldn’t possibly think for one second she was to blame? Viper had been the one to end Dodges life. And what the hell was Crow doing laying the blame at her feet?
“Baby you know that’s not true…” I scowled in Crowd direction. Expecting him to glower right back but instead he just looked sad.
“Yes it is.” She shook her head sadly. And a shake went through her. “Have you never given thought as to why Dodge looked out for me so much? Even when my…” she paused and there was so much pain in her eyes that I instantly wanted to gather her up into my arms.
