ALEX POV
I slam open the front door to the large coven house we sent Natalia to. Terror mingles with rage as I rush to find my sister. Him? She needs him? Max and Dan are practically my brother just as much as Aaron, but right now I want to punch him. If Nat needs help, then Aaron and I should be here too.
“Max!” my brother yells through the halls, not caring if anyone is sleeping, or of the fact that we are barging into a coven’s home without being permitted. We find him in a nearly empty white kitchen, standing alone.
“What are you doing here?” he asks, feigning nonchalant and failing. Aaron glares at Max as he enters the kitchen before me, but I don’t let him respond.
