Ember months, the last four months of the year were for wedding and other festivities. Decembers more especially was the month when most of these events were hosted, people from all over the world came back home together to celebrate the festive period, the last few days of December and the first few days of January. For others, it was in these few days they spent all the money they did been toiling for all through the year round. It was a family reunion for some, wedding for others, naming ceremonies, then Christmas and New Year being the top celebrations. For some wives, it's their husbands bringing in second wives. For some others, the occasion could be a Yankee boy who came down to his home town with few wads dollars in his pocket he toiled for abroad where he lived as a second class
