ELLIE‘S POV The forest was silent again. Too silent. Even the wind dared not rustle the leaves. Shadows hung heavy over the northern edge of Crimson Fang territory, blanketing the mossy ground in a tension thick enough to choke on. Sorin crouched between the trees, his eyes fixed on the healer’s hut, that familiar glint of cruelty burning low behind them. Maela’s silhouette passed once, then vanished behind thick curtains.
