Chapter 22 Once in a Lifetime

There must be Hu Bijie's green rank spiritual qi in the nine-ring machete. Together with spiritual qi from members of Wings of Wind, the whip made a strong attack and chopped off one-third meat of Jiuqi Demon's largest head. The blood flooded immediately from the head and covered half of its body.

Jiuqi Demon had one eye unopened because of the pain. It began to yell and shifted its focus to Dugu Muyou regardless of Hua Qingyue and Hua Qingshui's sneak attacks. A barrage of attacks was aimed at Dugu Muyou.

Sand and stones were blown everywhere by wind suddenly. People had no way to open their eyes in such thick fog.

Hua Qingyue stared at Dugu Muyou, exclaiming her inhuman burst of force. The power released by Dugu Muyou in the fight had further surpassed illusionists in the same rank.

Cracking the whip of spiritual qi harshly towards Jiuqi Demon with one hand while giving direction to spiritual qi with the other hand, she was quite nimble.

"Muyou, take care!"

Hua Qingyue jumped to the back of Jiuqi Demon after yelling. Spiritual qi emitted from the finger shot at Jiuqi Demon but caused no harm as if it had been iron.

The place hurt by Dugu Muyou was bleeding nonstop. "Let me do it!" Dugu Muyou shouted and cracked her whip again. The whip seemed to have hooks all over and left b****y wounds on Jiuqi Demon after each whip.

Hua Qingshui frowned a bit. Hua Qingyue was in black rank. Technically, his spiritual qi should be more powerful than Dugu Muyou's. But his force on Jiuqi Demon was much slighter than Dugu Muyou's.

Hu Bijie looked at Dugu Muyou full of energy with a surprising look and gave a thumb-up towards Hua Qingyue. "I have never met a girl in purple rank who can have such powerful force at such a young age. It is rarely seen!"

Hua Qingyue wore a smile over his lips and nodded.

Dugu Muyou rolled over and fell on the Jiuqi Demon's back gently. Compared with the giant size of a monster, Dugu Muyou in white looked so tinny and her hair fluttered along with the white cloth naturally. Outsiders couldn't believe such a pure girl was able to have so potent spiritual power.

Dugu Muyou stood on the back of Jiuqi Demon who was roaring madly. All of a sudden, the whole valley seemed to tremble. Dugu Muyou stared at Jiuqi Demon's back that had no shelter with the whip clenched tightly.

"Ow!"

A tense sound of whiplash was heard. Jiuqi Demon dropped down on one of its kneels and roared desperately because of the wound on its back.

Dugu Muyou flew down from Jiuqi Demon with one leg standing on the ground. Excessive consumption of spiritual qi just now resulted in her stepping back.

Seeing the giant monster was in desperation, Dugu Muyou felt relieved a bit. She collapsed as if she had lost her physical strength.

Joy climbed Hua Qingyue's face. He ran to Dugu Muyou and held her arms instinctively, "Muyou, you are awesome!"

Dugu Muyou had a smirk on her face, "Show some admiration!" Hua Qingyue burst out laughing because of the joke-like smirk.

"Of course, you have already had my admiration." Hua Qingyue said while nodding at Hua Qingshui, "Isn't Muyou marvelous?"

Hua Qingshui nodded slightly. But Hua Qingyue knew Hua Qingshui's nodding meant a lot.

"Watch out, everybody! The monster seems to stand up!"

The three who were delighted at their victory turned around simultaneously after hearing Hu Bijie's words. Jiuqi Demon who had been howling on the ground was trying to rise to its feet. The smoke was vanishing as well. When it totally vanished away, Jiuqi Demon had stood on its feet.

Dugu Muyou said "D*mn it" in her heart, wondering why it was so strong.

"Dugu Muyou, get some rest. You have consumed too much spiritual power. I will handle it," said reserved Hua Qingshui. But Dugu Muyou wasn't reconciled.

"I am fine. Its spiritual qi has been almost run out and it won't be difficult to deal with."

Dugu Muyou's whip shone but was not as bright as it had been. Hua Qingyue knew Muyou's condition was not ideal though she wanted to fight against Jiuqi Demon independently.

Before Dugu Muyou launched an attack, Hua Qingshui had flashed to Jiuqi Demon. Jiuqi Demon's one eye lost sight because it was injured while the others were staring at Dugu Muyou as if they had been trying to revenge.

Dugu Muyou's mouth was curved up slightly. Facing Jiuqi Demon's provocative eyes, she strode to Hua Qingyue's side and looked straight forward at Jiuqi Demon, "It would turn its grave if not killed by me."

Dust rose up as she cracked her whip. Trees within the scope of the long whip were smashed. Jiuqi Demon stared at the tinny figure in front of it, with a strong current coming out of its nose.

It kicked its hooves on the ground and began to move to Dugu Muyou slowly. Each move of Jiuqi Demon made the ground shake. Dugu Muyou and Hua Qingshui stood still and looked at each other with encouragement.

Jiuqi Demon's hooves left a huge hole on the ground and stopped in front of Dugu Muyou, from which exuded disgusting and smelly green sticky liquid.

Dugu Muyou cracked her whip, spiritual qi turning deep purple again. The length of the whip was extended by one more foot with the dizzy light of purple.

"Since you are so reluctant, then go die!" Dugu Muyou sneered at Jiuqi Demon. Hua Qingshui threw a nonchalant look at her and stretched out one of his hands on which was covered by thicker black spiritual qi than that on Dugu Muyou's whip.

"Puff, puff." Jiuqi Demon's breath was around them. Dugu Muyou whipped at Jiuqi Demon's head which was badly hurt, and a blast of fire was shot towards it.

Hua Qingshui hit Jiuqi Demon through a black spiritual qi punch. But Jiuqi Demon suddenly raised its former feet dozens of meters high. Both were covered by thick death aura.

"Quickly, action!"

Dugu Muyou yelled. A purple whip shadow and dark spiritual qi began to attack Jiuqi Demon's former hooves.

Spiritual qi was transformed to burning flames on Jiuqi Demon's body and tortured it to howl. Thus, its former hooves that had raised in the air lost their target and kicked randomly on the ground.

Dugu Muyou flew dozens of meters away immediately. A dozen holes on the ground were even deeper than a man's height. Hua Qingshui continued to attack Jiuqi Demon's head. Green sticky liquid together with blood came out of its eyes and nose and nearly filled a hole.

Dugu Muyou stood on a 30-meter ancient tree and her long whip seemed to become a sharp sword. The top of Jiuqi Demon's skull was hit, from which emitted a cascade of blood running through its neck to the ground.

Fierce howling circulated the ground. Jiuqi Demon was like a lunatic, attacking open places and woods. A strong burst of spiritual qi razed the forest around to the ground and burned hundreds of towering trees.

Dugu Muyou flew down and kept her legs after a few steps. A deep pit was left under her legs.

"Muyou, you can't go anymore!"

After a harsh shout, Hua Qingyue flashed towards another head of Jiuqi Demon. After a boom, black spiritual qi hit its target and the largest one in the middle broke apart, from which blood ejected all over. Leaves splashed by blood withered immediately and grassland nearby was burned to ashes instantly!

"Take care! Don't touch its blood! It is poisonous!" Dugu Muyou shouted at Hua Qingyue, "Hurry up! Hide behind it!"

Hua Qingyue looked back and smiled at Dugu Muyou, "Don't worry, Muyou!"

He must be unaware of the time! Dugu Muyou sighed and shook her head. It was not an easy thing to keep optimistic.

Hua Qingyue stood on tiptoe. He was like a feather floating on the surface of the water. Jiuqi Demon's fire of fury burned everything down. Even Dugu Muyou and Hu Bijie stepped back to avoid the fire.

Hua Qingshui flew to join Hua Qingyue. They looked at each other, nodding their heads. Spiritual qi began to entangle around their hands and finally was molded into a powerful black light ball. Two balls went for Jiuqi Demon along different routes. "Boom!"

Two black balls opened over Jiuqi Demon's two heads, covering the blue sky with dark smoke all over. Instantly, people couldn't tell the direction. The sky seemed to be covered in darkness and Jiuqi Demon's two heads were smashed by immense spiritual qi.

Jiuqi Demon's five heads were smashed, the rest of them were also badly injured. Its limbs collapsed and burned into a golden fire after a cloud of dark smoke. Through the fire, Jiuqi Demon's body was seen fell apart like mountains in earthquakes.

"Boom!"

Jiuqi Demon fell to the ground with a bang and made a huge hole. Its body covered with blood was as large as a mountain in the forest.

It was finally beaten down.

The four people felt relieved a bit and others outside them beat their chests to comfort themselves. Generally, people would be eaten if they met such a monster. But this time it was different. God blessed them!

Black smoke dissipated and the sun shone again. Jiuqi Demon's body was vanishing gradually and was gone a few minutes later, only leaving a giant shiny Crystal Essence hanging over the hole.

Such a Crystal Essence could hardly be met once in a lifetime and could strengthen spiritual qi greatly. Countless cultivators dreamed to have one like Jiuqi Demon's Crystal Essence, and it was here now!

Dugu Muyou saw it, saying no words. She needed this Crystal Essence now, but it was not her own effort. She wouldn't take it alone.

The whip of spiritual qi in Dugu Muyou's hand was gone because spiritual qi had been run out. Muyou frowned seeing at the vanishing whip. She really needed to replenish spiritual qi.

Hua Qingyue reached out his long arm to gather a strong light, which seemed to be magnetic. The Crystal Essence in the ground hole was drawn to him immediately.

"Muyou, you deserve it."

Dugu Muyou looked at Hua Qingyue, "How can I take all credit alone? I can't take it."
