They started talking in low voices as they walked toward the big doors at the end of the hall.
I followed Ms. Dorathy up the rest of the stairs.
She didn’t speak right away.
Finally she glanced at me. “You’re doing very well, Luna. Most new ones would be shaking after what happened .”
I gave a small laugh.
She paused at the top of the stairs and faced me. “This house… it carries so many memories. People lived here, loved here, fought here and some even died here.”
