I kept walking. At the far corner of the main building, where the path narrowed between two old stone walls, I saw them. The twins. Veronica and Vanessa had a girl backed against the wall. The same girl who had slipped me the note in class. She was small, glasses slipping down her nose, books clutched to her chest like a shield.
