~ Blade ~ “What is going on?” I said as I lifted Doris into my arms. She felt too light… too still. No response. No movement. Nothing. My heart slammed against my chest as I ran out of the rooftop, her head resting weakly against me. “Stay with me,” I kept saying, even though she couldn’t hear me. I didn’t stop running.
