I knew Daniel had seen Sebastian and me together. There was no question about it. I had seen him standing across the road outside the restaurant. I had watched his expression change when Sebastian placed his hand against my back, and as much as I hated admitting it, part of me had enjoyed it. Daniel had no right to be jealous. He had chosen Amelia, had betrayed me, and apparently had involved himself in whatever my father was planning for Evans Global. Yet long after midnight, I was still thinking about the expression on his face. Not because I felt guilty, but because, for once, Daniel had been the one forced to watch. My phone buzzed on the bedside table. For one horrible second, I expected another message from the unknown number. Instead, Sebastian’s name appeared on the screen.
