Jessy suddenly felt her cheeks hot as she reddened since she was a bit embarrassed, but mostly surprised.
Not long after, Liam took off his hands around Jessy and continued with what he was doing. After some time, he finally finished but before Jessy can even reach for her wallet Liam already paid for everything.
“Liam, why did you pay for it? It’s mine.” Jessy asked feeling a bit agitated.
“Why can’t I?” as he carries the bags of groceries.
“Well, let me pay you then when we get back home. You have given me enough already and i haven't even paid you anything in return.” Jessy said softly as she looked down.
“I’m not asking for anything in return and you don’t have to pay me anything” Liam then tugged Jessy as they headed out the supermarket.
They walked quietly together heading to Liam’s car. When they arrive, Liam immediately loaded the grocery bags in the trunk of his car when suddenly Jessy remembered about Mr. Richardson.
“Liam have you seen Mr. Richardson? I wasn’t able to tell him that you’ll be coming over." Jessy paused and smiled. "I really thought you were kidding.” Jessy added as she let out a fake laugh.
“Don’t worry I gave him a call already to head back to the Hyatt Residence since I’ll be picking you up. Besides what made you think I’m kidding?” asking Jessy as he smirked.
“Well.” Jessy paused . “I just thought of it” she continued.
“Next time don’t think like that." Liam said while closing the trunk of his car and opening the door for Jessy.
Jessy then immediately went inside and fasten her seatbelt and Liam went to the driver’s side.
As he started the engine, he suddenly asked Jessy “What do you want to eat? My treat!”.
“No, it’s okay. I’m okay to eat at home.” Jessy replied.
“I insist; I think I know a place you might like.”
Soon after they arrived in a not so far restaurant in the middle of the city. It’s not a fancy restaurant but enough to be decent to be visited by many people, including some famous people.
Jessy then looked around and thought that the place seems rather familiar, but she couldn’t seem to figure out the name.
“I brought you here because I noticed you seemed to like desserts and coffee more than regular meals.". This restaurant is known for those.” Liam then unbuckled his and her seat belt.
Crazy thoughts then ran into Jessy’s head. She remembered now, this was the place she has been telling Jacob about that she wanted to visit with him, but unfortunately it never happened all she got were fake promises from him. Out of nowhere Jessy suddenly felt the hurt in her heart again and a tear suddenly fell from her eyes. Liam was quick to notice it and spoke
“Remembered something?” Liam asked worriedly. “Let’s just go to another place, there are still a lot of nice restaurants here, don’t worry” he continued as he buckled his self up and was ready to leave.
Jessy felt moved by what Liam said, “How can this person be so understanding towards my feelings when we barely even know each other” Jessy thought.
Jessy then reached out for Liam's hand and softly said, “No, it’s okay. I want to see the place.” Jessy forced a soft smiled. “I’ve been really wanting to eat here, I’ve been asking my ex-boyfriend to bring me here, but well, it didn’t happen” Jessy explained bitterly.
Liam smiled and looked at Jessy passionately “Then tell me where else you want to go; I’ll bring you there”.
Jessy was blushing with what Liam offered. She just looked away and wiped her tears smiling. “Let’s go inside then, my treat”. Jessy exclaimed excitedly.
Liam got off the car and opened Jessy’s door assisting her to get off. They then walked side by side going inside the restaurant. Upon getting inside they were greeted by the attendant. Liam requested for the best seat in the restaurant and since it was still early, they were eagerly accommodated by the staff. They were given the seat at the 2nd floor, it’s an open area where you can casually see the very big pond situated at the back of the restaurant where Water Lilies can be seen floating and some fishes swimming around. Right above them was a transparent roof, and as if the gods where on there side that day, that the sky was clear. The stars and moon where shining brightly. Jessy was in awe of the scenery.
Jessy was busy looking around the place, she was smiling and her eyes were glowing. Although she is still hurting and is going through a lot, but it’s clear that she is very happy to be here.
Liam looked at Jessy affectionately and thought “Such beautiful lady in this beautiful place.” As he continued to look at her, admiring every inch of Jessy.
After a few moments Jessy finally got back to her senses and looked at Liam who was smiling and looking at her gently.
“What?” Jessy asked as she blushed.
“Nothing, I’m just wondering how can a Lady admire such a place with just a pond.” Liam teased as he laughed.
“Well, it’s not just a Pond. It’s a pond with living creatures!” Jessy exclaimed blushing even more. "Even the sky and the atmosphere is nice." She added.
“Alright! I’m glad you like it here. Will come here often then as long as you promise me you will smile more.”
Jessy just smiled and nodded. The staff then handed them the menu; Jessy was quite overwhelmed with the variety of food to choose from.
“Liam, I don’t know what to choose. Can you choose for me please? I’m not choosy. Promise.” Jessy looked at him with a puppy face.
“Silly girl! Okay then.” Liam laughed.
Liam was quick in ordering the food. Jessy was amazed by how good he was at choosing from the menu. From appetizers down to dessert, it’s as if he has been here a lot of times that he seems to be so familiar with the food.
“Wow! I think you also like this place.” Jessy teased.
“What made you think I like this place? I like it just now actually.” Liam smiled.
“Now? Judging by how quick you were able to choose from the menu it seems you’ve been here a lot of times already. Perhaps with someone special?” Jessy giggled.
Liam looked at her with a poker face, that you can’t seem to see what he is thinking, which gave Jessy shrills down her spine. Then he said “Your guesses are both correct and wrong.” he paused. “Correct because I did bring someone special here and wrong because it is actually my 1st time here, that’s why I like it just now.”
“I’m confused. That doesn’t make any sense” Jessy frowned.
“I brought you here now and you like it that’s why I like it.” Liam looked at her “do you get it already?” Liam laughed teasing Jessy.
Jessy just kept quiet as her cheeks felt very warm from blushing. She then answered. “You are so good with your words; I wonder how come you don’t have anyone with you yet.” Jessy laughed.
Liam smiled and said “I’ll take that as a compliment.” He then thought to himself “I’m actually waiting for someone, but I’ll be glad if it would be you. It's not hard not to like you.” Liam laughed at his thoughts.
“Why are you laughing?” Jessy asked, amused by the sight of Liam giggling.
“Nothing. You’ll actually laugh even harder if you'll find out what I am thinking.” Liam smiled.
