(DOWN THE AISLE)
B.VANS MOBILE
Carla came down from her white limousine, walking into the company ,her heels clicking against the floor. The staff greeted her with courteous smiles. She waved them with a light smile increasing her pace towards her son's office.
On reaching there, she pulled the knob of the door and entered but she paused immediately she saw Sinclair buckling his belt, and a young woman, barely dressed, trying to put on her clothes, she did it quickly and hurried out of the office, glancing at Carla with a mix of fear. The door closed and Carla gave Sinclair a piercing glare.
"Sinclair, really?" Carla began, her voice stern as she took her seat. He glanced at her with an uninterested shrug.
"Mom I can vividly remember the last time your legs touched the floor of B.VANS MOBILE was about six months ago, so what brings you here?" He asked, sitting back in his chair, casually adjusting his shirt.
"Am I to now take permission from anyone before visiting my late husband's company?" Carla raised an eyebrow.
"Mom it's fine, just don't start" He said darting his gaze to his system.
"I have a surprise for you" She said awkwardly.
He pretended not to hear her, his eyes still fixed on his system.
"Did you hear me Sinclair "
"Surprise you said. The last time I checked you aren't a fan of surprises so what changed?" He asked finally raising his head.
"Well maybe i changed" She shrugged her shoulder with a faint smile.
"Change?" He scoffed steading his gaze on her.
"It's a surprise for your newly launched car, I'm just tryna to act motherly" She said, trying to mask the underlying tension in her voice.
He eyed her suspiciously, his gaze cold, as if trying to dissect the layers of her words.
"Alright then" He said leaning back in his chair again. "Tell me then, Mom What’s this surprise?"
She forced a smile, tapping her fingers on the desk.
"You’ll find out soon enough" she said cryptically.
"Just like that?" He asked her.
"I'll come pick you up by 8 am tomorrow, I'd expect you to put on your best" She winked before leaving the office.
"What's she even up to?" He ruffled his hair letting out a sigh.

DUNCAN'S RESIDENCE ~5 PM
Lysander lounged on the couch, with her phone pressed to her ear, while she smiled.
“Duncan is such an i***t,” she said with a mocking laughter and a faint laughter followed from the receiver.
“He went off to work like it’s the end of the world. I swear, men.. Sinclair deserves an award for always making Duncan feel inferior” She paused, her lips curling into a mischievous grin as she listened to the person.
She spoke again.
“Don’t worry, I’ll get the money, just a little more trick and we're good” She nodded, listening intently, her gaze distant.
“I love you too. I'll have to go now , I think Duncan just came back " She said in a rush and ended the call, her smile getting more wider.

Duncan got out of his car, his hand gripping the door as he straightened up. Just as he was about to make his way inside, a notification popped on his phone. He opened it and saw an invitation from Carla. The subject was vague, just a location and a time.
"What are they up to now?" He tossed the phone back into his pocket, with a smirk on his face as he walked inside.

WEDDING HALL ~ 10 AM
The wedding hall was filled with invitees as they chatted. No one had the knowledge that a wedding was about to happen until they saw the bride walking in. Leah walked down the aisle, her heart hammering in her chest as the eyes of everyone in the room were fixed on her. Surprises displayed on their faces.
"The f**k it's a wedding "Lysander whispered to Duncan who smirked.
"Impressive" Duncan commented with a straight face. He decided to come along with Lysander.
Leah was fitted into a pristine white flowing gown with glittering stones on it. Her heart skipped a beat when she spotted her mother, Susan, sitting among the guests. She wanted to run toward her, to feel her mother’s embrace but she maintained not wanting to cause a scene.
When she reached the altar, she stood before the priest, the hall dead silent. The priest began reading the vows, his voice echoing through the hall.
“Do you, Leah Evans, take Sinclair Van as your lawfully wedded husband?”
"We can't find Sinclair "
"Is she getting married without him?"
"How and when did they start dating?"
"Don't let me believe this is an arranged marriage "
"How can a bride get married alone?"
Different comments were coming from the crowd. The priest looked up and they all went silent. He looks back at Leah expecting an answer.
“I...i do.” The words felt like they weren’t even coming from her own mouth, her lips trembling slightly.
Immediately, Carla walked in with Sinclair who was blindfolded. She held his hands leading him to the altar. Leah’s breath rose rapidly as she saw the blindfold.
Duncan let out a small chuckle, clearly amused by the whole scene. Carla, with a look of satisfaction, stood beside Sinclair and whispered into his ears.
“Say ‘I do,” she urged him gently.
"Uh why, where am I and why should I say that?" He asked trying to loosen the blind fold but Carla stopped him.
"I told you boy, it's a surprise just say the word, I do, and then you can remove the blind fold and behold your surprise" She whispered into his ears.
Sinclair hesitated, still blindfolded, he opened his lips slowly.
“I do" He uttered.
The sound of applauses erupted in the hall, and Sinclair’s face twisted under the blindfold. He curiously pulled the blindfold away from his eyes. His blurry eyes slowly scanned the hall, taking in the guests faces, the priest and most shocking, Leah standing there in a wedding gown.
His expression went from confusion to shock, and his eyes darted to his mom in a questioning gaze.
The priest, still composed, smiled awkwardly and said.
“You may now kiss your bride"
"Mom what the f**k is happening here?" He yelled, his eyes turning red.
"You're now a married man and you may now kiss your bride" Carla said with a grin.
"Jesus Christ, mom are you insane!" He yelled, the veins in his head popping out like there were going to explode.
