“I don’t know yet. But whatever just happened when I touched you…that was new. Something I haven’t been able to do before.” I looked down at my hands, still faintly glowing. “Maybe I can do it again. Maybe I can find them all.”
Sera looked up at me with red, swollen eyes. “Can you… can you try now? Please. If there’s any chance you can find him again…”
I hesitated, then nodded. “I’ll try.”
I reached out and gently placed both hands on either side of her face. She flinched at first, then held still, her eyes closed tight like she was praying.
I focused, trying to find that connection again. Trying to reach through her to Ethan.
