Selina’s POV
I woke slowly, surfacing from dreams I couldn’t quite remember. The room was dark, the moon casting silver shadows across the ceiling.
I could feel a presence. A weight to the air that hadn’t been there before. The sense of being watched.
My eyes flew open.
Alex stood beside my bed, his tall frame backlit by moonlight streaming through the window.
His eyes glowed in the darkness…not the warm green I was used to, but bright gold. It was the eyes of a predator, his wolf eyes.
My breath caught. For a heartbeat, fear flickered through me. He looked dangerous like this, wild, and barely contained.
“Alex?” My voice came out as a whisper.
