Selina’s POV
The car ride to school was silent.
I sat in the back seat of Ashran’s Mercedes, staring out the window while my wolf hummed contentedly beneath my skin.
She’d been quieter since the council presentation. Like she’d finally settled into my bones properly.
Aaron sat beside me, reading something on his phone. Alex was up front, messing with the radio. Ashran drove with both hands on the wheel, his jaw tight.
Nobody spoke.
When we pulled into the parking lot, I felt the stares of the whole school immediately. Every head turned as all the conversation suddenly stopped.
“Here we go,” Alex muttered.
Ashran parked in his usual spot at the front. Everyone knew that spot belonged to the alpha heirs.
“Just walk normally,” I told myself. “You belong here now.”
