Selina’s POV I’d been staring at the gray walls of my cell for what felt like forever when the door opened. Councilwoman Reeves stood there, her expression unreadable. “Selina. Come with me.” My heart jumped. Was this it? Were they going to make their final decision? Execute me? Move me somewhere worse? I stood on shaky legs and followed her down the corridor. But instead of turning toward the interrogation rooms, we headed toward the front of the building. “Where are we going?” I asked quietly. “You’re being released,” Reeves said. I stopped walking. “What?” She turned to look at me. “You’re being released. The Council has decided that holding you serves no purpose. Three more wolves disappeared while you were in custody, which proves you’re not directly causing the disappearance
