Selina’s POV
“We’re not running,” I said. Everyone froze.
“Selina…” Mom started.
“No.” I stood, and immediately regretted it as the burning in my back intensified. I gripped the back of the couch. “I can’t run. Not like this.”
Another wave of pain hit, sharper this time, and I gasped.
“She’s getting worse,” Aaron said, moving to support me.
Alpha Rowan’s expression darkened. “We need to get her somewhere safe. Now.”
“The cabin,” Ashran said immediately. “
“Fine. Go.” Alpha Rowan was already moving toward his office. “Take the north road. I’ll handle things here when Damon’s father shows up.”
Mom grabbed my face, forcing me to look at her despite the pain.
“Be safe. And don’t come back until this…” she gestured at me, “…whatever this is, is under control.”
I nodded, not trusting
