Twenty-Four I keep my eyes locked on Ryn, as if his gaze is the anchor that could pull me back if things go terribly wrong. The potion heats my throat and burns a little on the way down, like alcohol. I imagine it spreading throughout my body, working its magic. I have no idea what actually happens or how it works, but in my imagination it looks like tiny gold sparkles spreading across everything. I wait for memories to start pouring into my head.
