I woke up with the sun burning my eyes. When I opened my eyes I immediately shut them again as the scorching sun burned them once more. As I turned my head away from the window an arm tightened around my waist and I stiffened, but I realised that the arm wasn't near my wound but an inch or so just above it.
I opened my eyes in slits, so the sun doesn't burn them again. As I opened them it took a few seconds for my eyesight to gain its full potential again. When it did I saw red.
Like latterly red.
It was a red shirt.
