Moretti POV
My eyes lingered on the sound of the beating echoes around my mansion.
My vision is getting better day by day as I inhale the cigarette down my throat while watching the silence of the night through my window.
Suddenly, my eyes lingered on the view behind me, and my main bodyguard walked toward me with his worried face.
"¿Qué ocurre?" I asked, letting my view into his as he gasped for air. The pressure he held on his chest, I knew he had been on a run.
"Mr. Enzo!" He took a deep breath before staring directly into my eyes.
"What the hell did he do this time?" I yelled at him, not wanting to hear more.
I pressed my cigarette down on my little plate as I inhaled the fresh air blowing from my window.
"He locked" This little man can't speak?
I whispered to myself as I held his wrist and tightened it.
"Speak up!" I yelled at him, and his eyes filled with fear.
"He got her locked...Mrs. Elena!" He screamed as if he had been waiting for such a moment.
My eyes wandered in shock as I stood closer to him, scratching every bit of my hair as it became messy.
"Bring Enzo here!" I ordered him as he walked faster out of my office.
I sat down, and I picked up my cigarette while smoking every bit of it.
I knew he always wanted the f*****g best for himself, but he never cared; all he wants is to have his own mafia gang and move forward.
All this legacy wasn't going to fail because of him, I sassed to myself as I sat on my seat, calmly waiting for the beast to arrive.
"What the hell is wrong with you, Hijo?" Immediately, my eyes merged with Enzo's, and I yelled at him. Not giving him the chance to walk an extra foot close to me.
"You know, I don't deal with such a girl; she isn't my taste nor my maid's taste!”.He yelled at me as his veins pumped out in anger.
His gaze looked fierce, but I wasn't scared of a Hijo; he was just a boy who grew up faster to be who he was.
"Then, what? Marry that b***h who doesn't care about your feelings, and take over the Moretti Legacy?" I yelled at him.
Immediately, he heard the word b***h, and he rushed to me as he tried to lay a punch on me.
But suddenly, I grabbed his wrist while pulling it down and sliding his legs to the ground. His eyes were scared and revengeful as he stared at me.
"You better be a man and fix your problems; I wouldn't bother Abuelo to fix mine!" I yelled at him as I pulled my hands over to help him up.
He pushed my hands over, but I pulled my hands over again, but this time he grabbed it and stood up.
"Get that girl here now!" I commanded as he nodded without a word.
It's been this way, teaching him as a leader and not a Hijo to me. I don't care how people might see it, but my legacy lies in his hands, and risking it wouldn't be of any good.
I took a deep breath while I sat back unto my seat and kept on smoking. I was staring at the window while trying to get my mind off it, but it wasn't helping.
I sighed at myself while pulling my phone up from the vibrating sound.
The text messages popped up on my screen, letting me view them properly.
"Mi Amor, got some deals tomorrow, same time, same location."
I strode his legs to my table while inhaling a little smoke out of my cigarette while staring at the message and closing my phone back.
*****Next day******
I yelled at the top of my voice as Enzo marched into the parlor and straight into the car. After making sure the poor girl cleans up and is fed well, she can't die in my whole territory.
I inhaled the fresh scent of last night's rain; as my legs walked over to the car, Enzo was already there waiting patiently for me.
His hands folded on his phone while he focused on it.
"I'm done; let's head out now!" I commanded, leading my men into their three trunks and mine in the middle, making it's four trunks in total.
"Yes, sir!" They all screamed, and the engine sound echoed everywhere while we drove to the location.
It was a dark and silent road. It's set to be an abandoned warehouse, and since then, we decided to use it for our business.
My hands scratched my white mustache as I stared through the window; my driver drove faster with his hands, avoiding the sloppy road.
A few minutes had gone by. I stretched my back as it felt so painful and dipped my hands into my pocket before walking in front, as everyone followed me.
Beside me, the two broad-shouldered men I trust most walked with their hands well-armed.
"Welcome! Mi Hermano," Petro said as we both shook hands. My breath clenched with his as I smiled back.
We pulled out of the hug before staring at each other.
"You came earlier than I expected," Petro said, as I smirked.
"Definitely, for you," I said as I signaled my men forward as they brought the guns and some other items, like bullets, bombs, and even acid.
"Let's get this done!" I said, with a clap as everyone laughed out hard enough.
Petro walked over to me as he signaled his men to stand, their hands wrapped in a black bag filled with money.
It's been a decade since we worked together, letting go of our ego and making business move faster.
From being enemies to being best friends in business, Enzo smirked at the man as he walked over while they shook hands with each other.
Immediately, Petro pulled the bag over to us, and Enzo bent down to check it properly.
Enzo opened the bags, and the fresh scent flew everywhere, letting me inhale every bit of the money as it looked new.
"It's complete!" Enzo said, as I nodded in confirmation.
We pulled our items forward while Petro men checked it. Signaling everything was set, I curved a smile.
"Then, nice business with you, hermano," I said as we shook hands for the last time.
We waited for them to make the first move, with our hands still attached to our guns.
The first rule of the street: Never let your guard down.
We always got ready for things, but this time, I signaled my men to walk over to the car as we prepared to drive.
Bah!!
Gunshots flew everywhere, as our hands went over to our guns as we fired the shots.
I ran over to my car for backup, and I kept on shooting at them, not even caring who it might be.
Enzo kept on shooting, his hands wrapped around his gun firmly as I watched my son in the war.
Suddenly, I felt pains down my ribs, leading me to fall.
