Elena POV
Immediately, I watched a tall, broad shouldered man walk inside.
He folded his long white sleeves while adjusting his tie and then wiping off some stains with a handkerchief.
The eyes merging with his gave me a reason to notice it was Enzo, the man I was supposed to marry.
His blue gaze pierced directly into mine as he walked over to the crowd and then got his father seated in the front row.
"Dad!" He asked firmly as they both hugged each other firmly.
"Yes, where the hell have you been? Everyone kept on waiting, and you don't seem bothered?" Don Pietro Moretti yelled at his son.
My eyes wandered in fear as I saw the old man yelling at his sexy, attractive son.
Still, with my hands over my head, I bend low enough, refusing to stand up.
"Get this done!" His dad yelled at him, but Enzo's eyes didn't care much.
He smirked before walking over to me; I felt my body shiver in fear.
The look he gave me wasn't welcoming; his hands dipped into his pocket.
"Get your ass up, woman!" He yelled at me, pulling my legs over to the ground.
My legs were shivering, and my ears were itching in pain as I stared at him. Still, my head lay low, with my eyes refusing to stare at the devil in front of me.
"I can't allow my daughter to be in this family; there are all bloody demons!" I heard a lady in a red gown whisper, her mouth close to her friend's ears as she kept on talking.
Truth be told, if I had a choice. I wouldn't be here risking my damn life with this demon in front of me.
"Can't you talk? Cagna!" Those harsh words flew from his mouth; I felt like snatching his teeth against the wall but couldn't face my reality.
"What?" The word slipped from my lips as he stared at me, his hands tightening up as his veins pumped up to deal with me.
"What's your damn name!" He yelled, and everyone stared at him.
He didn't care much; his eyes were staring at me more. My body shivered in fear as I tried countless times to lay down some words but couldn't.
"My name..." Tears dripped down my cheeks as my eyes got blurry.
"Speak up, b***h!" The crowd shouted; some even whispered to themselves.
I felt the ground could open and let me dip inside it.
What the hell does he think he is? Speaking of such cruelty to a lady and even his wife to be?
"Elena Rizzo," I finally spoke, letting off my feelings as he stared at me before facing the priest.
"Let's get this done; I'm busy!" He said.
"Then..." All through the vow and everything at the altar, I didn't care nor listen to what they said.
My heart kept racing each time he stared at me. I knew I was one step to my grave.
Immediately, the vow had finished. I pulled my hands off him, and I walked down the altar and then to the crowd.
"Veronica”. I screamed her name, scanning where she could be. But got no signal, as my eyes glanced at every seat beside hers.
The angry and annoying eyes kept on piercing at me as their mouth whined in gossip.
"Here!" Veronica's voice pulled me off, and I jerked off while turned to face her.
Immediately, she saw my wet tears. Her whole facial look turned to worry; her hands wiped off the tears as she pulled me over to a corner.
"He did this to you right?" She yelled again at me, pulling everyone staring in my direction.
"No...no... please don't start!". Stammered, my voice cracking as she kept on scanning each bit she could find.
"Then, who? Have you met him before? Why does he treat you this way, in front of everyone?" She yelled, not caring if her voice pulled over to the crowd.
Her hands were on my shoulder as she stared at me with anger.
"Please stop!" I pleaded, pulling her hands off me as I held them tightly while rubbing them gently.
"But I need to give him a quick knock; he is a demon, Migliore amico!" She yelled.
"Come!" My hands wrapped around her as I pulled her beside me and straight to the toilet side.
She tried pulling off, but I held it firmly. Not ready for her drama.
As soon as my hands untangled her, my hands closed the door.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" I yelled at her. I knew she didn't do any wrong, but I can't be a dead dog to the Moretti family.
"What the hell do you mean, Amiga? I have tried countless times to make you understand these people don't give a s**t about us, nor about your well being!"
I watched her say those words; it was the damn truth, but I couldn't accept it.
"And then, what? Go back into suffering my ass, over more than a hundred thousand dollars in debt; I will scrub my whole life to pay for it”. I asked her.
She rolled her eyes at me and then squeezed her hands.
"What do you intend to do then? Because I can't stay and watch you in pain!" She said to me.
Since my parents died, she had been my best friend and everything to me, aside from my aunt.
I felt she was my lost sister, someone who could miss out on her exams just to check if I was fine.
"Just accept my faith; I won't die, trust me, okay?" I said as I pecked her forehead, letting her smile curve.
"Alright, let's go!" She said, grabbing my hands off as we walked down the hall and straight to an empty seat.
Everyone's eyes were on us after pulling such a scene, and now we were back. I sighed with my eyes rolling at everyone I could see, placing a glass of wine down my throat.
Letting go of my fears, if I could die to help my aunt, then I'm okay with it.
"Easy!" Veronica whispered to me with a laugh as I nodded before sipping the last drop.
I watched everyone dance to the music, and my white gown flew around the table. It had some beautiful white flowers, decorated below the down of my gown, making it more classic and unique.
Of course, they couldn't afford such a dress, but Enzo's dad knew how to pick good ones.
I smiled at my dress, pulling my mind off what was going on.
But suddenly, two heavy men walked toward me, and my wrist got held.
"What the f**k is wrong with you?" I yelled in fear, not caring who they might be.
I was already damn tired of the drama caused today and wasn't ready for a new one.
"Boss ordered us to bring you home," he said, bowing his head low.
"Boss? Who is your boss"? I asked, glancing at the black suit he wore, with his bodyguard earpods and a short gun at his belt side.
"Mr. Moretti!" He finally spoke; I knew it. That old trash man couldn't let me breathe for a second.
One minute, he forced me to marry his son; another minute, he demanded my presence, it's seem I was like a pawn to them.
"I'm not going!" I said, folding my hands.
Veronica stared at them with fears, she sat closer to me with her angered face pulled out.
"It's an order!" The other man said.
Just as my eyes rolled at him, my legs got lifted up.
