THE PARTY

323 Words
"Hey!" I ask, worriedly. "Hey, I...you kept that card?" He asks. He looks gorgeous in red, did I tell you? "Amm..yeah! I did." I assure him. "The Party is today right?" He asks again, licking his lips. Don't lick your lips, please. "Yes, at 9." I reply. "You're going?" "Yes, I've been thinking that I should go." He answers, thinking something in his mind constantly. "Okay, I'll not cook your food." I answer. "No." He states at once. "I mean would you like to come with me?" I think for a moment and consume his words, is he really asking me that? I can't believe it. Am I on earth? "Wh-" The words fail me and I become dumbstruck. Did I hear him right? Or it's just my imagination out of some weird fanatsy? "Yeah, only if you want. I am not forcing you over it." He says again, cueing me to answer him. I blush at the thought of going with him as a couple. God actually listened to my prayers a few moments ago! Thank you Jesus! "I-I will." I nod. "Yes." I pretend not to jump like a monkey and behave like a normal person. But the excitement inside me is bumping and I want to hop and scream like anything. "Okay." He says smiling slightly. "I'll see you at seven then." With this, he exits. I rush to the window on the other room and see him driving out of the house. I scream and laugh so loudly that I swear if I'd have neighbours, they'll be at my home by now with fire brigades. I will go with him, as his wife, and thought itself is so ticklish. "Are you okay, Ms. Foster? I heard your screaming..." Mrs. Hall stands at my door, with an expression of worry on her face. "No, I am..." I chuckle. "I am fine." I smile at her and she smiles back at me. Perhaps, she got me. I rush and hug her immediately, and stroll back to my room.
