"Oh, oh!" A male voice exclaims from the extreme corner, diverting our intense staring session. He is the same person who came today with Adam.
"I-I..." He tetters. "I'll come." He says, taking a step back. I nod and leave the lab.
I sigh in relief once I'm outside and clear the sweat off my face, before walking to the kitchen.
It's okay Jane, he is hot and being close to him always makes you feel hot. I think to myself of the beautiful moment we shared a minute ago and I can't help but blush.
"I'm sorry Mr. Williams, this was absolutely the last one." Adam's voice from the Hall reaches my ears in the kitchen as I place the glasses of coffee on the plate and walk out.
"I remember..." He sips water from his glass and sighs. "You said the same lines the last time, and before last time and even before that." He ends, pursing his bearded lips, and patting his face with a napkin.
"But this was absolutely the last, you heard? Absolutely?" Adam explains, in a childish voice.
"This is not doing, Adam." Mr. Williams gets disturbed. "I have people over me, I've to answer them all the time. This is not the way system works." He states, getting up from his place.
Mr. Williams was his Dad's best friend, though his Dad is no more. But he always protects him from getting sued or caught. Maybe he is here to talk about Adam's misdeed around the town in the afternoon. Yes, probably.
"I'm sorry Mr. Williams but I had to steal that rin..."
"No Adam, this time's been enough." He says, clearing his throat. "I don't want it next time because I just don't want to take any action against you. But trust me, nothing in the world can stop me too." Anger clearly audible in his tone.
"Fine." Adam says, rolling his eyes. "I'm sorry Sir." He wraps his arms around Mr. Williams as a lovely gesture to keep him calm and not hyper.
"Stop buttering." He says, chuckling. "You know I'm not like your Dad." He pats Adam's back.
"Hey Jane." Mr. Williams eyes catch me standing like an intruder and Adam's eyes follow.
"Hey Mr. Williams, please have seat." I say, being caught off guard and place the coffee on the table.
His cold looks, cop outfit and mutliple stars and flags over his shoulder have always been the reason of my panic state in front of him. I find him scary for some unknown reason.
"How are you Jane?" He asks, sitting back.
"I am good, Sir." I say.
"Good to know. Adam said you're not well." I become stunned at his words.
He said what?
"Are you out of it now?" He asks again.
"Amm...out of wh.." I begin when Adam interrupts.
"Yes, she is fine. She is al-" Adam turns his face to me. "Alright."
"Good." Mr. Williams says sipping his coffee.
"And Adam," He slips a thin stack of paper on the table towards Adam. "That lady wants some compensation regarding the damage done to her bathroom."
"What?" Adam snorts. "I mean who lady?" He shrugs glancing at me in between.
"The lady who was having a very private bath with his very private husband this morning on the 21st floor of the Hotel until two very private, uninvited I must add, intruders entered there, through one of that bathroom wall to join them." He glares at Adam who now appears tensed.
"What made you do that Adam? You're supposed to hit 22nd floor!" He puts down his glass and I can't help but hide my giggling lips under my teeth. I can't believe he entered somebody's bathroom and it's actually funny.
"No, no, I'm telling you that dumb crane man counted the floors!" He says with his hands in the air and I grin until he looks at me. "He said go and we just banged into it without thinking!"
"And a very explicit explaination!" Mr. Williams saracass and I giggle, uncontrollably.
"Trust me!" He looks at me with an innocent face and I stop laughing. "As soon as they saw us, the man covered her and I didn't see her, clothless. Also, we couldn't even see them, our eyes and noses were filled with dust and cement and s**t. I swear!" He explains it to me and I get confused, why is he telling it to me.
