I need the power, I’ve been waiting for so long for this and I deserve it! I may be a rouge, my pack may be rouges but they are still my pack, I am their alpha and it’s my job to be the strongest I can be. If I have to take things by force to gain the strength I need then that’s what I plan to do. I don’t care who I hurt, it’s my destiny and I will not fail. I don’t need allies, I don’t need help.

(Flashback 10 years)

“ I hereby banish you from the cold water pack Jace, you are a disgrace to your pack and the werewolf race! Pathetic man, just because I dared to go for what I wanted. This pack doesn’t deserve me, I hold my head high as the entire pack turns their backs on me as I walk away. I don’t look back, not to my family, friends or pack members, I’m stronger than anyone in this pathetic pack. I don’t need anyone, I will build my own pack, a pack of rouges. I will unite all the unwanted and misunderstood under one pack, a pack that will strike fear into the hearts of those who hear our name.

( End of flashback)

I think back over the last 10 years, we started as a small group of us, living day by day to survive. Keeping the other wolves from not killing each other, that was my main challenge. We needed something to fight for and so the white wolves became our new focus. Over the years more rouges heard about our pack and now we have over 400 members, all of us unwanted and abandoned by our own packs. We became a pack that’s name brings fear, Blackwood pack. We are formidable, ruthless and resilient. Rouges generally don’t live together, they are volatile and will kill for no reason but I alone have managed to tame them. The rouges are my pack, my family and we live for each other just like any other pack. They may think I’m evil and maybe I am but I was unjustly wronged and this is my revenge.

I took down my old pack years ago, I watched as my rouges ripped apart the people that abandoned me. I myself killed the Alpha, I saw the light leave his eyes and I revelled in the painful howls of the pack as they felt him die. We took no prisoners, we obliterated them and burned their pack lands down. Some escaped and we have been hunting them down one by one and only one is left. My brother. He ran away when he saw us coming, he didn’t even try to fight, he ran like a coward.

I’ve heard he has joined a new pack, I don’t know where but when I do he will join the rest of the cowards. I feel no remorse for my actions, I vowed revenge and I took it. Now the white wolf has been found, an unmarked female how perfect! I will take her, mate and mark her and her power will be mine and my pack will finally be safe. No one will ever come for us again, the rouges found a home here with me and unlike my pack I will protect them.

A knock at my door, “come in Kia” my second in command Kia came in, “Jace, we’ve got a problem, she’s left her pack she’s at the Alpha meeting”. Damn that girl “ right ok, we’ll cancel the attack on her pack, if we attack now she won’t go back and we definitely cannot get to her at the meeting”. We need to rethink everything, if she gains support from other Alphas it could be very difficult taking her before reinforcements arrive. I sit back in my chair thinking carefully, this situation we cannot afford any mistakes. “ we know the route she will be taking?” I look to my second for confirmation. He nods his head “ Yes alpha she will travel through knots woods, past the human town and across to the meeting at another pack land. I smile, “ attack them on the woods, they will not be expecting an attack so soon we will take her when she is least protected”. Kia immediately links our men giving clear directions on the attack, we can afford our men to make the same mistake and injure the white wolf. “ what about the pack mates that travel with her?” I smile, a rare genuine smile “ kill them all”.
