Chapter 20 The rest of the car trip, from Voi to Nairobi, was uneventful (no more encounters with cops, for example). Harry slept most of the way. They arrived downtown at midday, where Aldo checked them into the Sarova Stanley, a renovated luxury hotel with a famous history of hosting diplomats and movie stars. After unpacking in their elegant shared suite, Aldo said he needed to use the computer in the hotel conference center to straighten out a snarl of bookings for the party of schoolteachers he would meet. Joseph, who had family in Thika, announced he’d be staying there and promised to be on call to support their errands in the city.
