Chapter 18Less than half an hour later, Jasper’s phone goes off. To his surprise, it’s Ryan.
Afraid of a possible confrontation, but also afraid to let this relationship that has so much potential slip away, Jasper answers. “Ryan, are you and your mom alright?”
“Yeah, can you come over, please?” Ryan’s tone has calmed since their last conversation, but it does not make Jasper any less anxious about whether he’s ruined the relationship before it even has a chance to become a relationship.
Jasper gets out of bed, searching for something to wear.
