The road ahead was bumpy and littered with human bodies. What really bothered David was the fact that these corpses had been left completely untouched by the ghouls and Crawlers. Something had killed these people just for fun. David felt his heart racing as beads of sweat dripped from his forehead. There were no magma pits on this path and the temperature was far lower than he had anticipated. It was cold and humid, but there was not even the slightest hint of breeze. David steadied his hands on the steering wheel and rolled up the windows to block out the extreme cold.
