What followed next was a heated exchange between David and the Major. David hadn't come all the way here only to get arrested by some soldiers.
"You're making a mistake! I need to talk to Mr. Ryder. He is inside the fort. He knows me!"
"There is no person by that name here," the Major Replied plainly.
David however, wasn't convinced. "I know he is here! Just let me talk to him once and he will clear up all your doubts."
"I told you already, there's no such person inside the fort. You're not a S.E.A.L, which means you have already outstayed your welcome. We have plenty on our hands right now and you're really starting to get on my nerves. I would have thrown you off this island myself, if it weren't for the monsters. I'm sick of your boys in Langley poking their nose in our affairs."
