“So, anong mayro’n at pinapunta mo ‘ko dito?” Denise asked me. She’s seated on the high stool chair beside me here at the bar counter.
Nasa bar kami ni Skylus ngayong gabi. I was alone that’s why I phoned her to drop by. Skylus is not here. He’s busy fixing his own issues.
“How’s life? It’s been a while.” I asked her.
Uminom ako ng alak. When was the last time that I drink alcohol? I can’t really remember. Now, this feels weird.
“Well, I’m good kahit na may issue kami ng kaibigan mo,” aniya at um-order ng maiinom sa bartender. She glanced my way. “And how about you? You look damned.”
I smiled. Is it that obvious? I’m really damned.
