Clara's POV
**Flashback
Ruby and I were sitting under a large tree, our hands occupied with a cup of chocolate drink and cupcakes. Ruby was scrolling through her phone, her eyebrows furrowed in concentration while I simply stared at the beautiful scenery.
This felt peaceful. I had been running around campus for the entirety of the week, trying to keep up with the millions of extracurriculars and advanced classes. So far, I was doing a good job.
Graduating from college was only an arm's reach and I needed to leave with the very best result.
I had to admit the fact that maybe I am an overachiever but that was the consequences of being a scholarship kid who is used as a conscience check for a bunch of old money. They lived to hear my resounding 'thank you'.
