DOMINIC’S POV
“Seize her!” The man suddenly yelled out.
I turned around slowly and watched the men seize Clara. She gasped and looked at me but for some reason, I could barely see any fear in her eyes. And that was when something suddenly dawned on me. She hadn’t been afraid when we were being pursued earlier, hadn’t been moved even when it was obvious that we were surrounded, and neither was she now because…because of me! She trusted me and I saw that written crystal clear in her eyes.
I glanced at the man in charge of this strange army and then nodded to myself, “Order your men to let go of her right now, or you and your unfortunate men will face the full weight of my wrath.”
