Clara's POV
I can't keep waiting. After Ruby's comment, she simply walked to the house, pulled off her clothes and hopped right into a steamy shower. When she stepped out, I had prepared a fresh cup of tea for her which she gratefully took, relishing in the taste.
Nico was asleep on my lap, his chest rising and falling steadily while I rocked him gently. After placing Nico in bed, Ruby had picked out a movie, her utmost concentration on the screen.
I wanted to scream out in frustration but knowing Ruby, it wouldn't do any good. Mentally noting that I'd talk about this with her tomorrow, I focused on the movie. Halfway through, Ruby spoke out of the blue.
