Maxwell's POV
I stared out my window in silence, my head filled with that single piece of information that Clara had so willingly provided. She dated Dominic? Even after Clara had stated that there was nothing going on between them right now and that they broke up years back, my heart was still unsettled.
All the unanswered questions seemed to suddenly fall into place. The reason why Dominic was hell bent on ensuring that Clara finds out about the affair with her secretary, or when he was willing to risk a war with my pack by throwing the first punch after I mentioned Clara.
How didn't I think of this sooner? Of course, Dominic still feels a sense of entitlement towards Clara. I should've marked my territory, stated clearly that Clara was mine and no one else.
