DOMINIC’S POV
“The doctor has arrived, Alpha Dominic.” A maid revealed just before I walked into my study room.
I nodded and replied, “Tell him to come to me when he is done.”
“Yes, Alpha Dominic,” she curtsied and then halted as she was about to walk away, “Um, Alpha Dominic, if I may ask. Where will you be?”
“I should be back here.”
She nodded and walked away. With a sigh, I dropped on the comfortable seat behind my desk and released a heavy sigh. My heart was still racing, gripped by the fear of losing Clara. I couldn’t get over my initial shock when I heard her strangled tone over the line.
The cold feeling of terror that had run through my spine as I bolted to my feet and how cold my fingers were as I had gripped the steering wheel, racing madly to the hospital. I h
