Clara's POV
The hospital room was dark when I woke up, although I could see a stream of light pouring in from the adjoining bathroom. I groaned, attempting to sit up but my body still had a dull ache.
Where's everyone?
I knew that Nico was probably back home but Ruby promised that she'd be here when I woke up. Her phone sat near the small table s***h cupboard next to my bed and her bag was on the floor, half zipped open. She wasn't far.
With a groan, I reached for my phone, double tapping the screen. It lit up. There were no text messages or missed calls, thankfully but I had one from Dominic. He was simply checking up.
