CLARA’S POV
I didn’t want to have this conversation with Dominic because there were a few loopholes in my plan and I knew he wasn’t going to fail to point that out.
“And what about him, Clara?” he asked, dropping the glass of water we drank and turning to face me with a frown.
We were seated on his porch, talking and just staring at his beautiful garden. I had taken a while to get to what I actually wanted to say, so we had sat awkwardly for a few minutes until I had mustered up the courage.
“Ruby has already left, you know,” I’d told him before getting into the main issue.
He’d nodded, “I know. Kevin saw her as far as outside Silver Fang’s territory. I think he only returned a few minutes ago.”
“I have to leave too.”
